In the future the farm intends to expand on sustainable living to include Maori design, food and culture. The farm also borders onto one of the largest native conservation reserves in the Auckland region and shares its natural resources with many native animals. The intention is that the farm will become a part of ‘wild corridors’ to support the provision of biodiversity for the regions
natural heritage.
Another intention is to protect waterways by planting indigenous plants such as local flax species, which can also be used for weaving. A wider range of workshops will be explored such
as natural sustainability in urban environments. A long term goal is to eventually offer accommodation for people who want to experience this wonderful lifestyle.
